Mobile Clinic – Zarqa Governorate
The mobile clinic
The Mobile Clinic was launched in 2024 as an initiative to deliver essential healthcare services to underserved areas, including refugee camps and remote communities lacking medical infrastructure. This reality makes healthcare painfully out of reach, ultimately denying people a basic human right.
Due to the effective engagement MAP Jordan has with the community, it became evident that the need for healthcare was incredibly high and that a Mobile Clinic healthcare facility was highly demanded, especially in remote regions, so that healthcare could be obtained. Hence, the role of the Mobile Clinic is to deliver integrated medical care, including routine check-ups, treatment for common diseases, and the provision of essential medicines. The Mobile Clinic aims to also increase health awareness among local communities through educational programs and awareness campaigns, ensuring that prevention and knowledge become as accessible as treatment itself, while also fostering long-term resilience and healthier futures.
Beyond its mission, the true value of the Mobile Clinic lies in how it transforms the following goals into real change and impact on the ground:
| Key Area of Impact | Description | Main outcome |
| Expanding Access and Coverage |
The Mobile Clinic brings healthcare directly to communities with limited infrastructure, eliminating travel barriers and ensuring that basic and preventive services reach those who need them most. |
Broader, more equitable access to essential healthcare. |
| Providing Comprehensive, Multidisciplinary care | Patients receive regular check-ups, treatment for common illnesses, essential medicines, and ongoing health guidance. | Continuity of care and improved overall well-being. |
| Flexibility in Adapting to Local Needs | Due to its mobility, the Mobile Clinic tailors its services to the specific health, environmental, and social needs of each community. | Context-sensitive and sustainable healthcare delivery. |
The impact of the Mobile Clinic can be seen through the following achievements:
From October 2024 to the end of September 2025, the Mobile Clinic delivered life-changing diagnostic and treatment to 2,416 patients across refugee camps and underserved communities. In the same period, 1,380 patients received essential medications, which ensured that access to vital healthcare was not just a promise, but a reality.
Furthermore, the Mobile Clinic took part in several impactful initiatives that brought hope and relief to hundreds of families. For example, during the ‘Community Giving Day’ in Al-Sukhneh Camp, the team provided medical services to 550+ patients in one day, which was in collaboration with local health organizations. This day and these collaborations truly demonstrated a collective care for the community as well as solidarity.
Additionally, the Mobile Clinic took part in the Eye Surgery Campaign, where more than 1,000 patients received pre-surgical assessments, including blood pressure and diabetes checks, ensuring they were ready for life-changing operations that restored both sight and hope. Moreover, over two weeks of dedicated outreach, the Mobile Clinic reached the villages of Hashemiyah and Zarqa Camp (Zarqa Governorate) where they provided free medical care to nearly 510 patients. Among them were 35 individuals who received specialized ear examinations as they had ear problems and were fitted with hearing aids. This not only restores their hearing but also their sense of connection, confidence, and dignity.
This illustrates that the Mobile Clinic has already accomplished a lot within a year and has provided many patients with essential care. MAP Jordan has scheduled 10 new locations for the Mobile Clinic to visit and to continue to bring healthcare closer to those who need it most.
