MAP Jordan participates in “Pink October”
MAP Jordan arranged a breast cancer awareness day in Hittin/Shillner camp in collaboration with the Jordanian Breast Cancer Program, where an educator from the program was hosted. The educator gave the women in attendance important information regarding breast cancer, its causes, and how to handle it in case of infection. They received educational brochures to help spread awareness about breast cancer.
Due to the rising number of breast cancer cases, the belief in the significant role of women in society, and in the interest in their safety, MAP Jordan is eager to raise awareness within its medical centers in the camps to try educating women and girls about the risks of ignoring periodic breast examinations.
MAP Jordan extends its sincere thanks to the Jordanian Breast Cancer Program, a comprehensive national initiative that works under the leadership and support of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center and the Ministry of Health. The program aims to provide early detection of breast cancer services to all women in Jordan.
