Jordan Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP JORDAN) held the annual Iftar under the patronage and participation of its honorary president HRH Prince Hassan Bin Talal and Princess Sarvath Al-Hassan on Thursday 08/06/2017. The ceremony commenced with a speech by Mr. Munib Rashid Al-Masri, the President of MAP's Board of Trustees, in which he thanked HRH for his patronage of the annual Iftar ceremony of MAP.

During his speech, HRH expressed his gratitude to MAP's Board of Trustees and administrators for the health services MAP provides to the refugees and citizens of this precious country. His Highness pointed out that refugees who came in 1948 and 1967 were welcomed by Jordan’s generous people who shared their food and land and this country became a home for everyone. His Highness referred to the significant role performed by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the region. His Highness also recognized the downsizing of expenditure that burdens this organization and the necessity to take a constructive direction so that it continues its work and historically familiar role. His Highness urged us to concentrate on health in all its aspects, whether physical or psychological, and stressed that the dignity of a human being is the pillar that connects sustainability and development.

The event was concluded with a folklore dance performance by the AL-QUDS group for Palestinian folklore dance.
