Al-Nahda Women's Network: Medical Aid for Palestinians: A 34-year journey of giving and healing

During the increasing challenges facing healthcare for Palestinian refugees, the Al-Nahda Women's Network organized a meeting titled "Medical Aid for Palestinians: A 34-year journey of giving and healing" on July 31, 2024.

Shereen Shaheen, the Executive Director of MAP Jordan, spoke about the Society's efforts since its establishment in 1990. The Society has provided primary healthcare to over 2 million patients through clinics in various refugee camps. She highlighted that the Society offers medical services at symbolic or no cost, including maternal and child health services, disability treatment, and health awareness programs.

Participants emphasized the importance of enhancing primary healthcare funding, improving infrastructure, and developing preventive health programs, with a focus on mental health as a fundamental component of the right to health.
