Success story: Duha’s story is one of resilience and hope

Duha's success story is one of resilience and hope, emerging from the depth of despair in Gaza refugee camp. At just ten years old, Duha endured significant hardships with her impoverished family of six, where her father, battling unemployment, underwent kidney dialysis three times weekly.

Duha suffered from developmental hip dislocation, resulting in severe shortening of her left leg, with a 15 cm difference in length compared to her right leg. Despite long-term conservative treatments, her condition necessitated urgent surgery costing 4000 Jordanian dinars, alongside medical follow-ups over a year.

Though MAP Jordan’s fund raising campaign "Lighten their Load 5", the funds were raised and Duha underwent her procedure, marking a pivotal moment in her journey toward recovery and a restored childhood.
