The annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of Jordan Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP JORDAN) was held and presided by HRH Prince Hassan in El-Hassan Council on Tuesday, the 29th of August 2017, where the accomplishments and strategic plans of MAP were reviewed.

Vice-President of MAP, Dr. ABDULLAH ALBASHIR, presented a brief of the work progress of MAP's programs and its achievements during the past years in servicing the patients residing within and surrounding the camps at Hittin Camp and Jerash Camp, in addition to presenting the future plans through which MAP seeks to develop the programs, study their effect, and expand the range of their beneficiaries.

HRH referred to the Mckinsey Report regarding the number of refugees, which indicated that there are around 2 million refugees on the west bank and approximately 1800000 refugees in Jordan. His Highness wondered during the meeting if we have invested in the human being in order to enable him/her for citizenship and contribution to society because enabling and empowering human beings to perform within society should be one of our priorities.

His Highness directed the Board of Trustees to make use of the Zakat funds, establish a communication policy with the various entities, and coordinate with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the World Food Programme (WFP), El-Hassan Youth Award, and the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA); his Highness also encouraged MAP to apply for a grant from the Islamic Development Bank.
